Between the slabs of my patio grow this lovely fine moss. I could see it shining with dew whilst having breakfast and as I was drinking my coffee I was thinking how to best photograph that. In the end I had to take my tripod, set it so that the head was upside down, use my extension tubes (just the 21mm) and my 50mm lens and get within one inch of the moss. As I couldn’t move the moss, I had to move the tripod legs until I got the sharpness where I wanted it, the DOF is so narrow! In post editing I used a graduated filter to darken the background.
What do you think?
