    • Thanks Andy, I’ve actually been quite obsessed with this and I’m still struggling to find the right technique to use. If you have some good tips, please let me know!

      • Hi I suggest you take a look at the Lith on my blog and read the words. Over the past 3 months I have described my evolving methods. It’s taken me four years to get to this point.

Probably the first thing to say is Lith has warm smooth highlight tones with fine grain and cool contrasty shadows with coarse grain. The coarser the shadow grain, the more saturated the warm tone with be (as a function of development).

        Hope this helps. Andy

  1. I’ve just had a look at your blog (in fact I follow it now!) and it looks like you’ve certainly mastered the digital lith techniques. I used to print Lith in the dark room many years ago so I know what it is I’m trying to reproduce. I can do the harsh contrast and the grain, where I struggle more is in achieving the lovely milky creamy highlights.
